My Scan N Cut video tutorials

The Scan N Cut machine was the first machine I bought when I started crafting in 2016. I checked out die cutting machines as well and decided that having a digital machine would be more versatile and so bought a CM300. I absolutely love using my Scan N Cut to make cards and other projects. It is amazing the amount of things this machine is capable of, we just have to learn what it can do.

I had such fun creating loads of different pop up and intricate design cards, made my first flowers, cut vinyl quotes for mugs, created amazing word cards and did so many other things. I used both the Canvas design software and my machine memory to create. Just before lockdown in 2020 the screen on my CM 300 konked out!! So I started using a die cutting machine and quite liked the difference in the cut. But after a couple years without my Scan N Cut I was missing the variety it gave, so in 2022 I upgraded to an SDX135. Of course I have to relearn all I had forgot!!!

I had created a YouTube channel during those 2 years and started to do a few tutorials. So when someone asked if I would record some Scan N Cut tutorials I thought this was a great opportunity for me to help others use their machines for all things crafting.

Did you know you can convert photos to cutting files and recreate them in vinyl? Have a look on my Scan N Cut makes page and you’ll see how my first try at doing this turned out.

I only have 5 videos at the time of creating my new website (April 2023) which are below, but please check out all the photos of things I’ve made with my machine in my Scan N Cut makes page in the menu at the top. I am totally amazed at just how popular my video tutorials have been. Thank you to everyone who have watched, I will be making another one soon.

Please let me know what else you’d like to see.

In this Mothers Day Card tutorial I use my Scan N Cut to cut leaf shapes from patterned paper, stick and emboss to make a pretty background.

You could do this cutting any shape from patterned papers in your stash and use to make a card for any occasion. Let me know if you try this technique 😊
